I had been to Pisa a couple of times before, but I could only conjure up memories of standing near the leaning tower. How did I get there? What did the rest of Pisa look like? I had no idea.
I wanted to see more of Pisa besides the Piazza dei Miracoli, so I signed up for a walking tour. I arrived a little early at the train station and discovered that McDonald’s has the station food concession. It’s catering to the Italian taste with panini that don’t look all that bad but not all that good either, especially en masse.
