Today I headed off for Fabriano, a center for paper-making since medieval times. Getting there required first a bus to Fossato di Vico, then a train. The train station at Fossato di Vico fortunately did not require an underground to get to the far tracks. A last minute change had all passengers waiting for the Fabriano train to change tracks…a bit of chaos for a few moments in this quiet, little station.
Carla and her husband met me at the station in Fabriano and took me to their B&B, Il Rifugio dei Pittore. They are a super sweet couple with a very nice place right next to the old midieval walls. The view from my room is lovely.
