Viterbo is surrounded by hot springs along a 12 kilometer stretch, and I couldn’t pass up the chance to bathe in warm waters. But getting to the bus station early, I decided to roam around the neighborhood a bit.
I came across the Via Francegina, one of the pilgrim roads to Rome. Viterbo was a stop on the road and has marked the way for modern pilgrims who wish to follow the path.
