I’m calling this a day of rest, slowing the pace before my visit to Venezia. I headed to the market to buy linen pants, as all the clothes I brought are too heavy for this intense heat.
These arcades have housed food stalls for centuries. I had to stop in.

I’m not sure if these fiorellini (little flowers) are a tradition or a new invention, but they are selling quickly at one and a half Euro a piece. So many new tastes to try. I’m trying to stick with salads whenever possible because the carbs are pervasive and have such a strong allure.
