Day 8 – Harlem and Bryant Park

I gazed at the Morris-Jumel Mansion today while having breakfast outside on the deck. I then took the time to visit the house right across from where I’m staying. It is the oldest house in New York City and was once a summer home of a very wealthy Loyalist family when all this area was farmland.

From its gates you can see Sylvan Terrace where I am staying, the carriage road that led to the mansion.
