The days pass quickly here in the woods.
We take occasional outings such as a trip to Avenzano, where I walk through the local park while Francesca and her friend Ariana bake in the hot sun at the beach.
We have pizza at a place where Ariana’s son works.
Roger cuts the grass. There is always something to do, and many times volunteers from the WWOOF program help out.
The spacious kitchen allows a lot of people to work at once.
Kids from a summer program come to learn how to bake bread.
I continue to make eco-prints with good success.
An Israeli family arrives to help with the work. Two of their kids aren’t much into nature.
The cat enjoys very lazy days.
We take a trip into Pegli to visit the Villa Pallavicini, a park near the train station which was once surrounded by gardens and orchards.
Now the freeway noise suppresses any sense of respite and serenity.
But there are some beautiful spots.
This portal is meant to take the visitor from the very cultivated to the rustic, as the other side of this gate is elaborately decorated.
Back in the woods, the Israeli family has helped build a platform for the sculpture made by the Russian artists. It has found a good spot.
I am off to Genova tomorrow.
