Day 17 morning Madaba and Amman

This morning I went from Amman to the town of Madaba, known for its mosaics and the Church of St. George. Along the way I had a chance to see more of the Jordanian countryside.

A building on entering the town of Madaba. I’m not sure who the mural portrays, probably the king and not likely negative.

The Church of St George was built in the 19th century over an earlier Byzantine church.
