Day 26 – Leivi, Carasco, Favale, Calvari

This morning I took a walk down through the olive orchard below our lodging.

I came across a little church, La Chiesa di San Terenziano. It was so well maintained and landscaped I thought it might have been converted to a house, but neighbors informed me that it was still a church

and that last night parishioners had celebrated Corpus Christi. For this religious holiday, many places in Italy and other Catholic countries paint elaborate scenes on the streets with flowers.

Here they made a line of flowers crossing the road.
