Day16 – Modena and the Galleria Estense

Class today is both fun and sad. As it is Friday, it’s the last day for several students, including Carl Asch, a singer and magician from New York and Florida who has kept the class particularly interesting. He’s a singer, knife-thrower, magician, and natural entertainer.

Today he graces us with a song, and with a magic trick in which he makes colored balls disappear and appear to the surprise and amazement of us all.
I will miss Carlo, the Israeli couple, Carmen and Anya, and Lynn, the woman from New Zealand. Together we have spent long mornings in class and long lunches after class.
