An easy day, my last before the tour starts. I had thoughts of taking the Etna train or traveling to Ragusa or Taormina, but I decided to stay in Catania and give it a rest. I’m glad I did. As my mother was wont to say, “Marilyn, you can’t always be on the go go go.”
I left the Palazzu Stiddu at about 10:30 after paying up with Giovanni and Patricia. This couple is a gem: passionate, kind, simpatico. Giovanni said, “We are artists. We make things with our hands. We are free.” They have invested in Catania and hope to improve the city and its future for their infant daughter.
