Day 2 – Amalfi Coast, Minori

Today I took a train from Rome to Salerno, sitting next to a family from Chile and a man from Naples who gave us tips on what to see on the Amalfi Coast. He took us from the Salerno train station to the ferry landing where a cooperative of fishermen sell their catch. I was struck by the wall mount to hold the fish sword.

The sea was very rough and at first I was told that the ferry wouldn’t land in Minori, the village where I’m staying, because it was too dangerous, so I called the Airbnb owner to tell him to meet me at the next village, Maiori, instead of Minori. But then when I got on the ferry, they decided to land in Minori after all. So great to have a working phone!
