Today I visited Taliesen West, Frank Lloyd Wright’s “campsite” in the desert. Once it was remote, when only 300 people lived in Scottsdale, but today it’s in the suburbs, albeit surrounded by private nature reserve.
The guide pointed out how the roof mirrors the mountain peak, a FLW principle, as do the arches of the Marin Civic Center with the surrounding rolling hills.
