Day5 – Napa Valley

Up today at 10:45am after a night of sweet dreams… and on today to the Napa Farmers Market.. a small market, but I found a stall selling French prunes like my grandpa used to grow… So hard to find them these days…

Day4 – Napa Valley

Today I started out with an historic walking tour of Napa… down by the old mill…both lumber and grain… but first a scone at the Sweetie Pie Bakery where a funnel from the old  mill takes up part of the seating area.

Day3 – Napa Valley

Started out the day at the Napa Valley Museum in Yountville… With an exhibit of Wayne Thiebaud’s work on paper… But more interesting to me was the work of a turn-of-the-century artist named Walter H. Everett… And his raucous colors…

Days1 and 2 – Napa Valley

Getting to Napa should not be hard…just over the hills and dales… but Friday afternoon traffic makes a snail’s pace seem swift.. But the scenery is still beautiful… I stayed in the rest of the day to decompress…I needed it…
