Day 25 From Sayla to Ahmedabad
We stayed last night at a place called the Bell House, a guesthouse about 150 years old. It showed its age, but it had lovely grounds with wandering peacocks. We visited a family that specializes in working with beads. Here are many of their beaded objects, even beading over a soda bottle.

Day 7 Ceserana, Piezza, Bagni di Lucca and Casabasciana
I woke up early this morning to a magical view of the full moon descending over the mountain tops. We visit weaver Maria Donati, who has worked to preserve the traditional patterns of the Garfagnana. We pour over her many weavings and have trouble deciding which beautiful pieces to take home with us.
Day6 – Cerasa and Castelnuovo
Today we visit Cerasa, a place high in the mountains where a family of three lives and works producing local agricultural products typical to the area.
